It’s Worth Checking Out This New Hotel & Flight Award Searching Site

There is a new hotel and flight award search tool on the block and at first glance it looks incredibly promising.

The site is called Pointimize. It has a well-designed and great looking interface, includes all major programs, and provides a quick way to compare all types of hotel bookings.

I haven’t been able to test out the site comprehensively, but it seems that it could be extremely useful if it works as it claims.

There are a handful of other useful sites out there that serve a similar function—Hotel Hustle, PointsForTrips and AwardMapper—however it’s always worth having extra tools in this game.

If you haven’t heard of Pointimize yet it wouldn’t be a bad idea to bookmark the site and give it a try the next time you dive into researching your next award stay.

Hotel Award Searches

Some useful features for hotel searches include:

  • Results that include award nights, cash + points, 3rd party booking website prices.
  • Accurate and real-time award availability.
  • Redemption valuation (cpp).
  • Ability to sync with AwardWallet.
  • Shows transferable points options (UR, MR, SPG, TYP).
  • Hotel elite status perks.
  • 10 hotel programs.

Flight Award Searches

The flight search feature appears to still be under development, but it currently has these features:

  • Results include award ticket prices, direct airline ticket prices, and 3rd party booking website prices.
  • Shows flexible transfer point options (UR, MR, SPG, TYP).
  • 17 airline programs.

The biggest drawback at this point is that flight award searches do not show availability. If this feature is introduced in the future this will be incredibly useful and valuable.

With the upper-level membership you get added functionality that includes:

Before today the offer for signing up was for free Diamond membership until June 2017, but now you can get that extended until December 2017.

The Bottom Line

This new website could be incredibly useful if the dvelopers keep everything up to date and continue to build the functionality of award flight searches.

In either case you have nothing to lose by signing up and giving the site a try with you upcoming mile and point travels.

Chase Sapphire Preferred Credit Card

Quick review: You'll earn 60,000 bonus points after spending $4,000 within the first 3 months of signing up. Plus continue to earn 2X points on travel and dining. The card does have a $95 annual fee.

Why we like it: For anyone new to travel rewards credit cards, this card is the best place to start. With a modest annual fee you still earn 2X points on travel and dining. You earn Chase Ultimate Rewards points that are extra valuable when you transfer them to transfer partners. Not to mention the 60,000 bonus point welcome bonus gets you off to a great start on earning free flights and hotel stays.

  1. Won’t use it since it requires access to my Google or Facebook account, very dumb to make those the only sign in options. Shows they were in a rush and needed a shortcut.
