I just wrote about the amazing 60,000 Ultimate Reward point Chase Ink Plus and Bold offer that came out this month. Similar to last year, Chase is upping the bonus by 10,000 points because May 12-16, 2014 is Small Business Week. This deal was only around for a week last year, but it looks like Chase may bring it back for the whole month this year by releasing it earlier. Let me know if you hear anything different!

To sum up the current offer, you’ll earn 60,000 Ultimate Rewards bonus points after spending $5,000 within the first 3 months on the Ink Bold charge card or the Ink Plus credit card. The Ink Cash card is also offering 10k more bonus points, and now you can get 30,000 points or $300.

 

Did you recently apply for the Chase Ink Plus or Bold card?

Don’t worry, you can still get the extra 10,000 bonus points. All you need to do is send Chase a secured message asking to have the offer matched. Chase is typically very good at honoring a better offer that comes out within 90 days of when you apply for a Chase credit card.

In fact I applied for an Ink Plus card a little over a month ago, so I decided to send Chase a secure message asking to match the 60,000 point bonus offer. A few short hours later I received confirmation that I will earn the extra 10,000 points!

How do you send Chase a secure message?

  1. Log into your Chase online account.
  2. Then, click the ‘Secure Message Center’ link to the right of your login welcome message and name.
  3. Choose ‘send new message’ from the drop down menu.
  4. Select ‘Rewards Inquiry’ and click ‘go’.
  5. Now all you have to do is select your Ink Plus or Bold account and write a short message asking if they can match the new bonus offer. Simple, right?

If you opened a Chase Ink card in the last 90 days I would do this sooner than later, because you will have to send the message while the current promotion is still live. You should received a response very quickly from Chase, mine only took a few hours and Chase’s customer service is generally very good at quick response times.
