IHG is starting another round of Big Win promotions for 2014

Starting today, you can enroll in the new 2014 “Big Win” promo offered by IHG during their pre-registration sign ups. The promo doesn’t begin until January 1, and goes on until the end of April, but register this week so that you could have a shot of ‘winning’ thousands of points towards IHG stays or airline miles.

IHG Big Win Promotion 2014

The promos will vary between IHG members, so with that said, you have to be enrolled in the IHG award program to be eligible so make sure to sign up. Remember that just because you’re an IHG member, it doesn’t mean that you are automatically signed up for the “Big Win” promo and you must register during the registration week(s).

There are six Big Win booking category offers you can earn bonus points from:

One Night Win Stay at any IHGhotel: 1,000 points
Book with IHG Book 2 separate stays: 2,000 points
Stay more and earn Stay a total of 3 nights: 3,000 points
Explore our brands Stay at 3 different IHG brands: 7,000 points
Win in a weekend Stay 3 Saturday nights: 8,000 points
Win big Complete 5 of your offers: 10,000 points

If you complete a stay in each category, you will have earned 31,000 IHG points! BUT this is just what I was offered. Depending on your elite status, your offers will vary.

IHG Big Win Bonus Offer

You may also earn a special bonus like the 2013 Big Win offer for completing stays in each category, but it’s not certain yet. Currently, if you complete 5 categories, you will receive a 10,000 point bonus (again, that is only what I am offered so that amount may vary depending on your elite status). For the 2013 Big Win promo, if you completed a stay at each category by the end of the promotion, then you would receive 25,000 points.

In order to start earning points, you have to agree to receive IHG “email correspondences” which can be promo news, account updates, etc. by opting in for them once you’ve registered. After that, you will be shown all the different Big Win category offers that are available to you. If you want to redeem any of the offers, you have to book through the IHG website.

Your stays have to be completed between Jan. 1 and April 30, 2014 in order for them to count towards the Big Win promo offer and you must be registered at the time of booking.

IHG has some great properties all over the world so I am looking forward to earning the bonuses for free nights, especially in Thailand. Rooms at the Holiday Inn Bangkok Silom begin at 15k in July. If I earn the 31,000 bonuses offered to me, then two free nights in Thailand doesn’t sound too bad!
