There are a lot of ways to get heavily discounted Club Carlson points this week. The first was mentioned in this post about American Express’s Daily Getaways and the second is through Club Carlson’s flash sale this week. Both are great opportunities to get some Club Carlson points at a steep discount if you are planning on a trip where you can redeem them at a top-tier hotel that would normally run at least $400 per night. For as little as $174.60 you can potentially earn close to $1,000 in hotels stays at Club Carlson properties. Here is the rundown on both deals:
Today, the deal on Daily Getaways offering for 50k Club Carlson points at $194 ($174.60 if you buy with an Amex card) or 100k points for $385 is going to be available at 1:00 eastern time. To maximize this deal be sure to purchase with an American Express to get an additional 10% off the total price.
If you purchase the deal with an Amex card, the 50,000 points will end up costing you $174.60 and you will be purchasing Club Carlson points at 0.349 cents each (normally they cost 0.7 cents each). The deal becomes more lucrative if you have a US Bank Club Carlson Visa that gives you the exclusive benefit of a free last night off any award reservation of 2 or more nights. This offer is extremely limited since there are only 71 packages available for the 100,000 points and 142 for the 50,000 points. Each rewards number can only purchase at most two sets of the discounted rate.
By using a bonus award night with the points that you paid $174.60 for, you can get two nights at a top-tier Club Carlson like the Radisson Blu Hotel Champs Elysees or Radisson Blu Metropolitan Hotel in Paris where rooms run around $500 a night during the summer. With a redemption at a expensive Radisson Blu you can potentially redeem the points at a value of 1.8 cents per point. Additionally, with the card you will be automatically upgraded to a nicer room upon availability at check-in.
This week Club Carlson is also offering flash sales that will be published on their on Facebook and Twitter feeds. Although the deal is not quite as good as the Daily Getaways deal, if you miss out on that you can still buy points at 0.4 cents per point through the flash sale.
The sales started yesterday just before 1:30PM ET and stayed live until 2:15 PM ET and today's sale went from 8:30 until 9:15 PM ET. It looks like the sales are going to last for only about 45 minutes, so you will have to be quick to act to get in on it.
All you need to do is click the link on either their Facebook post or Twitter feed and you will be taken to a page where you can log in to you Club Carlson account and allowed to purchase points with a 75% bonus at the normal 0.7 cent per point (1,000 for $7) price. During the sale the price per point drops to 0.4 cents per point and you can purchase a total of 40,000 Club Carlson points per year. If you max out the bonus you will get 70,000 points for $280.
If you have any trips planned that will allow you to use these points within the next year for a high-value redemption this, either of these deals may be for you.
