Back in 2013 I finally made it to the astounding Cordillera Blanca range in Peru. Although only spending a week in the area I found myself hitting the trails every day. Huaraz, Peru, a small city at an elevation that will make you short of breath just walking up your hotel stairs, provide easy access to some great hikes.
I caught a small local bus from the center of town and headed to the trailhead, within 30 minutes were were hiking the trail up towards Laguna Churup. This is a photo leading up to Laguna Churup which is at 14,600ft high!
