IHG just released a sneak peek of the new PointBreaks list for May 27 – July 31, 2014 and so far the list looks pretty good.

IHG releases a new list of PointBreaks hotels for 5,000 points per night regardless of its category during the promotional period. This can be a huge points savings if you have travel plans in any of the PointBreaks cities.

The entire list will be out on Tuesday, May 27th, so be ready to book those nights for generously low cost point redemptions, but for now here is a look at some of the properties from the PointBreaks preview list:

Crowne Plaza Hotel Bangkok- Lumpini Park, Thailand
Crowne Plaza Johannesburg-The Rosebank, South Africa
Hotel Indigo San Jose Forum, Costa Rica
Holiday Inn Hotel Laval- Montreal, Canada
Holiday Inn Hotel Frankfurt – Airport, Germany
Staybridge Suites Guadalajara Expo, Mexico

If you do decide to reserve a PointBreaks stay remember that it is on a first-come-first serve basis so if there is a property you think that might be in high demand, be sure to book it as soon as possible and if your travel plans fall through then you can cancel your reservation.

With that said, you are now only allowed to make two separate reservations per month per hotel. This doesn’t mean that you can only stay two nights, just that you can no longer book several nights under separate reservations per the new terms and conditions on IHG’s website.

The new rule is to give more people the opportunity to reserve and redeem nights at the PointBreaks rate. You can read more about the new change here.

Be sure to make your PointBreaks reservation as soon as the promotion goes live on Tuesday if you see a property that is in a city you will be traveling to between May 27-July 31, 2014!
