Southwest Airlines is having a celebratory 30% off Anniversary sale for Wanna Get Away round trip fares on limited dates in August and September. If you’re planning on traveling on any of the eligible dates, you can save 30% of the fare, if paid in cash. The catch is like any other special offer from Southwest, you cannot redeem the sale price using Rapid Rewards points.

Promo Code

If you try to make a reservations using Rapid Rewards points with the promo code, you’ll receive an error message. If you do end up using your Rapid Rewards on any of the sale weekends, then you end up spending more in points than the worth of the ticket

The discount only applies for days that are eligible for the promotion, but if one portion of the ticket doesn’t land on any of the given dates, only the portion that does will be discounted. Here are the dates that you can use the promotion for:

August 27

September 1

September 6

September 10

September 17

September 24

To receive the 30% off, you have to book by July 4 (tomorrow), and use the promo code SAVE30 at checkout.

Remember, to take part of the anniversary sale, your reservation must be a roundtrip flight and cannot be redeemed for using points.
