Per the The Flight Deal there are amazingly cheap round trip flights on United from Seattle to Oslo, Norway starting $590.

I consider any purchased flight to Europe under $800 a great deal. Earning miles on a mileage run for ~4.0 cents per mile is an incredible deal.

The available travel dates seem to be from January 8th – March 27th and you must purchase the fight by January 9th.

The routing options that are available are from Seattle through either EWR or IAH. If you choose to route through Houston you can add around 900 miles for only a couple bucks more.

If you are looking for a mileage run this could be a great opportunity to earn 12,000+ United miles at around $0.04 per mile. You could spend a day or two in Olso even though it may be cold and dark this time of year and a burger may set you back $30.

It’s a great city and I’m sure you could enjoy it for a few days before flying back to Seattle. I thoroughly enjoyed my time there, however I was visiting in August when there was several hours of daylight.

The three-night itinerary I priced out came to $591 with one leg routing through EWR and the return through IAH. The difference between these routing options is around 900 miles and only a couple of dollars. You could spend more time in Oslo if you have friends or family, or just want to explore the city longer.

As of today, there were several dates available and a variety of lengths of trips to choose from between $590 and $600, but there may be slim pickings as more people get in on this deal.

As always make sure you spend on a credit card with no foreign transaction fees and keep in mind the currency in Norway is the Norwegian Krone ($1USD = 6.16 NOK).
