American Express Daily Getaways is offering a new deal that only 100 people can get their hands on tomorrow. They're  advertising a 2 night package at a category 3 Hyatt offered at $260, which is regularly $480, but really the deal is selling blocks of points at discounted rate. For $260 you are purchasing 24k points at 1.1 cents per mile, which is actually worth $480 at 2.4 cents per point.

*If you purchase the deal with your American Express card, then you can get an additional 10% off. However, there are different sets of points you can purchase, but the minimum offer is the $260, but they are not displayed on the Daily Getaways page. The highest at $775 for 69k points is broken down to 1.1 per point, which is also a great deal before taking advantage of the 10% discount for using any Amex card.

24,000 Gold Passport points for $260
30,000 Gold Passport points for $330
36,000 Gold Passport points for $415
69,000 Gold Passport points for $775

You must be a Passport Gold member to get in on the deal, so be sure to sign up here if you haven't already. After you purchase the 2 nights offer, 24,000 points will be deposited into your account, so essentially you're paying 1.1 cents per point dropping from the usual ~2.4 cents. If you use any of your American Express cards, you pay less than a penny per point thanks to the 10% off so you can get an even better deal.

Daily Getaways

There are only 100 available at first come first serve. You can set an alert to know when the sale goes live, but if you really want this great deal, you should probably be ready to refresh the screen as soon as it begins at 1 p.m. eastern.

The Bottom Line

This is a great deal for anyone who wants to take advantage of Hyatt hotels around the world. The cost per point for each package is about 1.5 cents or less compared.
