Disclaimer: This could be a complete waste of time. The whole process really depends if you receive a short survey to complete after a lengthy process of signing up and creating a profile. The bottom line is YMMV!
Okay, and now on to the details.
You can earn 1,000 IHG points joining Opinion Check-In and completing your first survey. IHG is sending out emails with details about this offer, but it appears that anyone is eligible to sign-up through this link.

Free 1,000 IHG Points
I decided to give it a go to see if the surveys I was given offered any kind of value for earning extra points.
The first step of the sign-up process is simple, all you need to do is click on this link and enter your name, email, and IHG number. Make sure you use the same name that is on your IHG account as well an an email that you can verify.
You’ll have to verify your email and enter some additional information, such as employment, address, etc. Then after you create a password you have to re-verify this information and provide more details about the employment information you provided!
All-in-all the sign-up process alone takes a good 5-10 minutes.
After creating your profile you need to give MORE information to see which surveys you are eligible for. This is likely where the answers matter, but I can’t tell you the magic combination of answers that will give you a short survey. I was given a 37 minute survey after the lengthy registration process!
The bottom line is to factor is all these steps when deciding to go for the 1,000 points. If you get a short survey after registering then the process is likely worth it, if you are given a survey that takes 30 minutes to complete then the 1,000 IHG points are likely not worth your time.
The thing is that you don’t know what survey you are given until you complete the survey about yourself when you register!
