Over the past week we’ve seen several updates on the United Explorer credit card and now you may be able to earn up to 75,000 bonus miles plus a $50 statement credit.
Several versions of the welcome bonus are currently available and depending if you’re targeted you will receive a higher welcome bonus than the public offer.
Currently the offers out there range from 30,000 to 70,000 bonus miles after spending $3,000 within the first 3 months.
Each offer also seems to have a $50 statement credit version available and the option to earn 5,000 additional miles by adding an authorized user.
How To Get The Best Offer
Here’s a review of the current offers available on the United Explorer credit card and how to make sure you’re applying for the highest possible offer.
The bottom line is…check to see if you are targeted for a better offer before you apply using these links, at the very least this will save you the time of requesting Chase to match the higher offer (see below).
55,000 United Miles Offer (+ $50 statement credit)

75,000 United Miles + $50 Statement Credit Offer
This is the best targeted offer currently available. If you get the offer you can earn 70,000 miles after spending $3,000 within the first 3 months. You’ll also earn a $50 statement after the first purchase and similar to the other offers, you can also earn 5,000 miles when you add an authorized user that makes a purchase within the first 3 months. Annual fee of $95 is not waived the first year.
You can check to see if you’re targeted by logging into your account here.
Note: If you are not targeted for the 70,000 point offer you will be redirected to a 30,000 or 50,000 mile offer.
Secure Message Chase to Match Highest Offer
There have been reports that Chase will match the targeted 70,000 mile offer, but it appears to be a ‘your mileage may vary’ situation. At the very least, if you’ve recently applied for the United Explorer card at a lower offer and you are targeted for the 70k offer it’s worth a shot to send Chase a secure message requesting to match the higher offer.
If you plan on applying for the 50,000 mile offer it may be possible to get Chase to match the higher 70,000 mile offer. There is not guarantee that the offer will be matched, but it’s worth a try.
