What Are 70,000 Miles Worth?
The current 70,000 welcome bonus is the highest offer we’ve seen on the this card. I consider it to be worth $800 to $900 even when I don’t rank Delta SkyMiles as one of the more valuable airline miles to earn.
With 70,000 SkyMiles you can book a round trip business class flight from the US to Europe on Delta, KLM, or other Skyteam partners. Plus you won’t pay fuel surcharges on this award.
One of the most important parts to mention is that in order to get maximum value of your SkyMiles you’ll need to make sure you plan and book far enough in advance to lock in a saver award price.
The Bottom Line
The Amex Platinum Delta SkyMiles Credit Cards (personal and business) are now offering an increased welcome bonus of 70,000 miles and 10,000 MQMs.
Additionally you will earn a $100 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase. Purchasing Delta egift cards should trigger this statement credit, so you can purchase them and keep the credit for future use if you don’t have an upcoming Delta flight.
This offer is stated as a limited time offer that will expire on 7/5/2017, so be sure to apply before then if you are considering it.
Either of the increased Amex Delta SkyMiles Credit Card offers may be worth looking at if you have never held the exact card before. Remember that you can only earn an Amex welcome bonus once per card per lifetime.
